Blood Drive

Blaney Elementary will be hosting the Second Annual Blood Drive on march 11, 2011 from 7:30-12:30 in our multi-purpose room. I am excited about the event because it is such a worthwhile cause. Everyone requires blood and no one ever knows when he/she might need it in an emergency.
Anyone interested in signing up for the Blaney Blood Drive can watch on this blog or go to the school's website to register online.
The students at Blaney will receive a toy as reward for someone in his family donating blood. The students voted today on which "toy" they would prefer.

I'm still here!

I am ashamed to admit that the last post was a year ago. My goal is to do better. I found a great blog by a principal today and she inspired me to return to my blog.
If I can find time to play an electronic game at night or log on to Facebook, I certainly can find a few minutes to update my blog.
Two pluses and a wish.
Two pluses: 1. Blaney students have read over 30,000 books so far this year.
2. School was not canceled since the snow bypassed us.
Wish: It would be so nice if parents believed more of what the teacher says than what their children say.
